Author Visit - Lindsey Stansfield is Coming to FAD - December 1st
Author Lindsey Stansfield is visiting Desmares School on Friday, December 1st, and will be reading her new book Sassysquatch to all our Dolphins!
Sassysquatch is a book that will inspire kids to make their own choices, learn from their mistakes, embrace their individuality, and create a path to an awesome and bright future.
Reading Age: 3 - 10 years.

Spirit Day - December 1st
Every First Friday of the month is Spirit Day at Desmares!
Our Dolphins are encouraged to wear their FAD swag on spirit days to show their school pride!
Spirit Day Contest - December 1st
Your PTO runs a friendly competition between classes on spirit days!
Teachers count how many Dolphins wear FAD or blue shirts on spirit days. The class with the highest score wins a trophy to keep for the whole month!
Holiday Shopping Event - December 1st - 3rd
Your PTO partnered with "J&J Garden Center" in Flemington, bringing Holiday Plants and Home Decor to our Desmares Community!
Shop from J&J Garden Center on December 1st, 2nd & 3rd and benefit your PTO!

Holiday Shop Family Shopping Night - December 14th

We added A Family Shopping Night on Thursday, December 14th (5 - 7 pm); everyone is welcome!
It's a great opportunity for our FAD Alumni who want to shop for their loved ones!
School Pictures Make-Up Day - December 12th
If your child was absent on picture day or if you asked for make-up, Milan Rose will be coming to school on Tuesday, December 12th to take the students' pictures!
Holiday Family Paint Night - December 15th
Your PTO partnered with "Paint Party Farm" in Ringoes and organized Holiday Paint Night for our Desmares Community!
Friday, December 15th, at the FAD Cafeteria from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.
Adults are welcome to paint, too!
Cost: $25 per project ($5 back to Desmares PTO).
You can choose your wooden holiday project when you come to the FAD Cafeteria.
Complimentary Hot Cocoa will be available for everyone!

Our Library is Looking for Volunteers - Ongoing
Our library is looking for volunteers to help with shelving and labeling books, assisting students with choosing and checking out books, and helping with library displays and other special projects.
Please click the link below if you are interested. Library volunteers are needed throughout the year (for consistency, we ask that you are able to volunteer at least three shifts per month).
The Stephen Austin Maszczak Scholarship Award started after FAD lost one of its Dolphins to a brain tumor in 2011.
It is awarded to graduating students of Hunterdon Central Regional High School and is to be used for college or vocational school expenses. Desmares former students will be able to apply for this scholarship in early 2024 through the counseling office at HCHRS. Students are asked to name past and present teachers or administration that influenced them in some way, big or small. Please know that your donation is making a meaningful impact on a former student, as well as continuing the remembrance of a very special Desmares student, Stephen Maszczak.
