To kick off the holiday season, your PTO will be doing a Staff Holiday Raffle. 

We will be raffling 5 Amazon Gift Cards, $50 each.

Each staff member will get 5 raffle tickets. 

The drawing will take place on December 23rd.

December 2nd 

Every First Friday of the month is Spirit Day at Desmares!

Our dolphins are encouraged to wear their FAD t-shirts on spirit days to show their school pride. You can always buy spirit wear through the membership toolkit by clicking hereand orders will be delivered to the students during school hours.

On spirit days, your PTO will ask the teachers to count how many Dolphins are wearing a blue t-shirt that day (FAD t-shirt or any blue t-shirt).

Winning classes from each grade will win a trophy which they get to keep in the classroom for the whole month!

It is the perfect stocking stuffer for your little ones!

Cookies will be distributed on 12/22 in sealed bags. 

Those beautiful cookies are baked by our own Desmares parent Gina Moleta who owns "3 Kids and Cake".

We partnered with Hionis Greenhouses and brought to you 

Poinsettias, Wreaths, Christmas Cactus & Garlands.

Distribution Day: December 15th (3-5 pm at FAD Entrance).

let your children know you are thinking about them by leaving them a note with a FAD pencil (CASH ONLY - $2.00 each).

December 9th 

Drop off your kids at FAD and go finish your holiday shopping!

Friday, December 9th, 5-7 pm, $25 per child.

FAD students will have a great time at our First Annual FAD Winterfest Kids Night Out with their friends!

Games, Crafts, Cookie Decorating, Prepping Reindeer Food,

 Writing Wish Lists & New Year's Resolutions, 

Photo Booth with Flips, Pizza Dinner, and more.

December 12th, 16th & 19th 

Our participating Dolphins will have some winter holiday fun decorating a mini gingerbread house.

Your child will bring it home to display for the family. 

Students will use icing and candies to decorate their houses but their creations will NOT be edible. 

We will supply all the necessary materials for students to craft a one-of-a-kind creation! 

December 12th - 16th

Your PTO is hosting a Kids’ Kastle Holiday Shop for our students to enjoy the shopping experience for their loved ones during recess.

 With a wide selection of gifts priced within a child’s budget ($0.25 - $11), students can shop for Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, siblings, pets, and more while supporting our school!

Lindsey Stansfield, a local author & Desmares parent will be coming to our school to visit our Dolphins & read her first book "SADSQUATCH. The Best Is Yeti To Come" on Wednesday, December 14th.

 Books will be distributed in envelopes in case you prefer them as a holiday gift for your Dolphins. 

December 14th 

Our December dine-out will take place at Chick-Fil-A on Wednesday, December 14th (4-8 pm).

Show the attached flyer on your phone to the cashier when ordering and 15% of your check will go back to our school.

The Stephen Austin Maszczak Scholarship Award started after FAD lost one of its Dolphins to a brain tumor in 2011. 

It is awarded to graduating students of Hunterdon Central Regional High School and is to be used for college or vocational school expenses. Desmares former students are able to apply for this scholarship in early 2023 through the counseling office at HCHRS. Students are asked to name past and present teachers or administration that influenced them in some way, big or small. Please know that your donation is making a meaningful impact on a former student, as well as continuing the remembrance of a very special Desmares student, Stephen Maszczak.

It's time to have a digital sign at Desmares' entrance! Your PTO will be asking for donations towards the digital sign throughout the year.

The digital sign will help your PTO advertise FAD events promptly instead of our amazing parent volunteer changing it manually every month.
