FAD Walkathon was a huge success thanks to our parent volunteers, lunch aides, Mrs. McConnell, Mrs. Pepe, FAD families, FAD staff, our Dolphins & Flips.

Together we raised $2,740 for our school & our Dolphins because of Desmares community support!

Your PTO partnered with "Brianna Lynn Photography" for Family Photo Shoot Mini Sessions. Together we raised $120 for our school & our Dolphins because of Desmares community support!

Every first Friday of the month is Spirit Day at Desmares and Spirit Day Contest is back to encourage our Dolphins wear Desmares blue! Our Dolphins showed their school pride and wore their FAD swag on October Spirit Day.

Your PTO runs the school store once a month (with the exception of December, January & June) during recess time. Our Dolphins (grades 1 - 4) enjoyed buying fun school supplies during our October school store.

Together we raised $230 for our school & our Dolphins because of Desmares community support!

Your PTO arranged school pictures with "Milan Rose" and managed to get online proofs so families can check out the pictures before ordering.

If you missed ordering prints, you can call "Milan Rose" and order prints over the phone!

Your PTO partnered with "Nothing Bundt Cakes" and brought yummy bundt cakes to Desmares community!

Your PTO arranged a fundraiser with "Dream Dinners" and brought delicious meal kits to our Desmares community.

Your PTO organized a fall clothing drive with "A&E Clothing".

Together we raised $472 for our school & our Dolphins because of Desmares community support!

Your PTO joined "Scholastic Book Fairs" and brought Fall Book Fair to our school. Our Dolphins bought great books, built campfires, collected coins, played a guessing game, entered a raffle and won prizes during the book fair.

Kindergarten: Mrs. Minch’s Class with $35.

1st Grade: Mrs. Pacheco’s Class with $49.

2nd Grade: Ms. Restaino’s Class with $75.

3rd Grade: Mrs. Van Saun’s Class with $61.

4th Grade: Mrs. Robison’s Class with $57.

The total of coins was $600 which was used to buy books for children in our community.

Winning classes will get crazy hair or pajama day and a free book for their classroom library.

Your PTO brought a "Dinosaur Dig Show" to all our first graders. 

This show covered the formation of fossils and herbivores vs. carnivores. The presentation featured "Mr. Nixon," an eight-foot Triceratops skull discovered in 1996. The two field paleontologists hosted a "Dinosaur Game Show" for our Dolphins and a "Show & Tell" with rare and unusual fossils.

All our first grade Dolphins went home with a mineral sample! This assembly was funded by your PTO at a cost of $550 because Desmares community support!

Trunk or Treat & Haunted Gym Events were a huge success because of our creative Desmares families who were trunkers & our amazing P.E. Department (Mr. Pfluge & Mrs. Fiske).

Our Dolphins had a great time! Big thanks to all the families who joined us!

One grant was funded by your PTO in October.

Your PTO purchased new recess equipment for all our Dolphins at a cost of $1300  because of Desmares community support!

Your PTO will sponsor after school clubs throughout the year which will be run by our wonderful staff.

Friendship Bracelets Club, Mystery Book Club & Fall Craft Club took place this month because of Desmares community support!

Flips visited 3 lucky Dolphins in October on their special day.

Halloween parade was a huge success thanks to our Desmares community! Our Dolphins enjoyed it and everyone looked so adorable. Your PTO is collecting Halloween pictures for the yearbook, please send any pictures you have to FADpto@gmail.com

The Stephen Austin Maszczak Scholarship Award started after FAD lost one of its Dolphins to a brain tumor in 2011. 

It is awarded to graduating students of Hunterdon Central Regional High School and is to be used for college or vocational school expenses. Students are able to apply for this scholarship in early 2022 through the counseling office at HCHRS. Students are asked to name past and present teachers or administration that also influenced them in some way, big or small. Please know that your donation is making a meaningful impact on a former student, as well as continuing remembrance of a very special Desmares student, Stephen Maszczak. Together we raised $240 so far for the scholarship fund because of Desmares community support! You can donate on Membership Toolkit.

It's time to have a digital sign at Desmares entrance! Your PTO will be asking for donations towards the digital sign throughout the year.

The digital sign will help your PTO advertise FAD events promptly instead of our amazing parent volunteer changing it manually whenever is needed.

It might take us more than one year but together we can make it happen! You can donate towards the digital sign on Membership Toolkit.
