Kindness Rocks

Your PTO offered kindness rocks as take-home kits for our Desmares community in celebration of The Great Kindness Challenge, we raised $90 because of Desmares community support!

Please send us any pictures of your children's Kindness Rocks to FADpto@gmail.com to be added to our yearbook.

Smoothie King Dine-Out

Your PTO organized a dine-out with "Smoothie King - Flemington" to benefit the Stephen Maszczak Scholarship Award. Together, we raised $50 for the scholarship fund because of Desmares community support!

Story Pirates Virtual Assembly

Mrs. Weil (our wonderful librarian) managed to get our Desmares community a grant to receive a free virtual assembly by Story Pirates!

Our 3rd & 4th graders enjoyed it so much and K-2 grades will participate in it in February.

The Great Kindness Challenge

Our Desmares community celebrated The Great Kindness Challenge during the month of January with Spirit Week and Color A Smile.

Please send us any pictures of your children celebrating Kindness Spirit Week to FADpto@gmail.com to be added to our yearbook.

FAD Digital Sign

It's time to have a digital sign at Desmares' entrance! Your PTO will be asking for donations towards the digital sign throughout the year.

The digital sign will help your PTO advertise FAD events promptly instead of our amazing parent volunteer changing it manually every month.

It might take us more than one year but together we can make it happen! You can donate to the sign by clicking here.

Flips January Birthday Visits

Flips visited 3 lucky dolphins on their special day and together we raised $40 for our school because of Desmares community support!

PTO-Sponsored After School Clubs

Your PTO will sponsor after-school clubs throughout the year which will be run by our wonderful staff.

Art club - 3D pictures took place this month.

Stephen Maszczak Scholarship Award

The Stephen Austin Maszczak Scholarship Award started after FAD lost one of its dolphins to brain tumor in 2011.

It is awarded to graduating students of Hunterdon Central Regional High School and is to be used for college or vocational school expenses. Desmares former students are able to apply for this scholarship in early 2022 through the counseling office at HCHRS. Students are asked to name past and present teachers or administration that influenced them in some way, big or small. Please know that your donation is making a meaningful impact on a former student, as well as continuing remembrance of a very special Desmares student, Stephen Maszczak.

You can donate here!

We couldn't do this without all the support of our Desmares community!
