Every First Friday of the month is Spirit Day at Desmares!

Our dolphins showed their school pride and wore their FAD swag on October 1st. Your PTO will keep adding new items to FAD spirit wear line throughout the year. Flips masks were added in October.

Your PTO runs school store once a month (with the exception of December, January & June) during recess time.

Our dolphins enjoyed buying school supplies at our first school store on October 1st.

Our dolphins celebrated  "Week of Respect" during the week of October 4th with UBU initiative! The Desmares Dolphins are Unique But United! 483 students, 80 staff members, together as one. Just like a handprint, they are all unique.

Your PTO organized a dine-out with QCrew BBQ throughout the month of October to raise money for our school. We had a great turnout because of Desmares community generosity 

Your PTO arranged school pictures with Milan Rose and we got online proofs so families can check out the pictures before ordering.

If you missed ordering prints, you can call Milan Rose and order prints over the phone.

Your PTO joined "Duck Donuts" and brought fresh spooky donuts to Desmares community! We raised $400 for our school because of Desmares community generosity.

Your PTO organized mini photo sessions with Brianna Lynn Photography to take beautiful fall photos of our Desmares families. We raised $330 for our school because of Desmares community generosity.

Your PTO organized a fall clothing drive and together we raised $282 for our school because of Desmares community generosity.

Your PTO & our school librarian organized fall book fair with Follett which was a big success. It ran for four days, our dolphins bought books, built rockets, collected coins, guessed the number of milky ways and won great book-themed baskets.

Your PTO organized fun Halloween painting nights at Paint Party Farm throughout the month of October. We raised $50 for our school because of Desmares community generosity.

Halloween parade was a big success! Our dolphins enjoyed it and everyone looked so adorable. Your PTO is collecting Halloween pictures for the yearbook, please send any pictures you have to FADpto@gmail.com

It's time to have a digital sign at Desmares entrance! Your PTO will be asking for donations towards the digital sign throughtout the year.

The digital sign will help your PTO advertise FAD events promptly instead of our amazing parent volunteer changing it manually once a month.

It might take us more than one year but together we can make it happen! You can donate towards the sign by clicking here.

Your PTO funded a grant of $230 to buy 92 pumpkins for all of our 3rd graders who painted them as characters in fiction books (part of the “building a reader’s life” mini project) because of Desmares community support.
Pumpkins were displayed in our library for two weeks!
 

Flips visited 5 lucky dolphins on their special day and we raised $70 for our school because of Desmares community generosity.

Your PTO will sponsor after school clubs throughout the year which will be run by our wonderful staff.

Dragon & Pegasus drawing club started this month.

The Stephen Austin Maszczak Scholarship Award started after FAD lost one of its dolphins to a brain tumor in 2011. 

It is awarded to graduating students of Hunterdon Central Regional High School and is to be used for college or vocational school expenses.  Students are able to apply for this scholarship in early 2022 through the counseling office at HCHRS. Students are asked to name past and present teachers or administration that also influenced them in some way, big or small. Please know that your donation is making a meaningful impact on a former student, as well as continuing remembrance of a very special Desmares student, Stephen Maszczak.
